Milton Berle, William B. Williams and Frank Sinatra, at a 1976 Friars Club tribute to Sinatra. William B. was a club officer and long-time member of The Friars, which named him Man of the Year in 1984 in a ceremony Sinatra hosted. The following year, the Friars Club Foundation made W.B.W. the recipient of its Applause Award in recognition of his philanthropic work, and he was among a select group of people (Sinatra, George Burns, Milton Berle and Billy Crystal) to have a room at the Friars Club named in his honor.
