By a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees. Bob Hagen was posthumously accepted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony was held on Saturday Oct. 1st.

Sixteen broadcasters saluted at hall of fame

Sixteen people were enshrined in the Broadcasters Hall of Fame on Saturday evening with a memorable tribute to the past and the present. The gala was held at the Cathedral Buffet in Cuyahoga Falls.
"It's a wake-up call to how long I've been in broadcasting,'" inductee Tim Daugherty said with a smile.
Kris and Eric Hagen were on hand to honor their uncle Bob Hagen, who was recognized posthumously. Lee Harris, who worked with Hagen, came to town from New York along with wife Carol Crespo.
"For me it's the top of my career, and I just retired this week after 34 years," inductee Ode Aduma said.
Others inducted were Sheilah Belle, Andre Bernier, Betty Crano, David LaMoreaux, Margaret Linton Lanier, Pastor David Lombardi, Lee Michaels, Maurice Moore Sr., Matt Schafer, Keith Stras, David Wagenvoord, who has worked in radio since 1949, and Tracy Morgan.
In addition to being inducted, Jerry Revish was awarded the C.S. "Doc" Williams Founders Award.
Emcee Tom Beck introduced student scholarship winners Yiniva C. Byers from the University of Akron and Erin Moore from Kent State University.
Personality awards were given to Michele Stevenson of WANR (1570-AM) in Warren and Jeff Tanchak of WOIO 19 Action News in Cleveland.
Others spotted in the crowd included Barry Twine, Mary and Lee Dunlap, Rachael Cullison, Zach Fait, John Mikstay and his wife, Virginia.
Hall of Fame Trustee Melvin Brown met the 200 guests at the door along with Sue Duncan.
"This is a nice tradition that recognizes people who really love what they are doing," said 2001 inductee Linda Malachin of Akron.
